1939
Hassan group begins its journey in the Turkish industry in 1939 with mattress fluffing (quilting). The fate of the company, which manufactures quilts by hand processing of cotton, evolves into a new way with the Second World War and when the imports of the Italian waddings are interrupted due to the war, the path of the wadding traders crosses with the Şişman brothers.
1945
Hasan Şişman, the first generation representative of the group, who started to produce waddings with completely manual labor under the conditions of the period, took his first step in the name of industrialization by buying his first carding machine in 1945. By 1965, the number of carding machines reaches to 4 and the production capacity is up to 500 kg per day.
1966
In 1966, a machine with 300 kg / hour capacity was purchased from Austria with the Turkish Industrial and Development Bank loan in order to reuse textile waste products in production with an environmentalist approach and the production of bed felts for large bed producers of the period was started.
1969
When we came to 1969, Tofaş started to manufacture domestic cars and cooperated with Hassan to produce car seat parts in Turkey. With the training and know-how received from Fiat's seat manufacturer in Italy, Turkey's first domestic car cushion from coconut tassel is being produced at the factory in Eyüp with a staff of 20 people. After Tofaş, the company also reached an agreement with Renault, making significant contributions to the sector as the largest domestic seat manufacturer in the automotive sector.
1977
The company, which acquired the name Şiteks in 1977, continues to grow in the mattress market while building its new factory in Hadımköy with the name Hassan Tekstil in 1985 and expanding its product range by entering the shoe and artificial leather sectors alongside the synthetic wadding.
1988
While Haspaş,which produces quilting and home textiles, was founded in 1988, Telasis began to produce domestic nonwoven in 1995 in order to create an alternative to imported products in the garment sector in a 12,000 m2 closed area in Hadımköy, Istanbul.
1995
In 1995, Catsis had been founded, re-entered the automotive market and started producing and forming technical textiles for the automotive sector in his modern plants. In the same year, the foreign trade company Teksis was established and the products produced within the Hassan group were opened to the world and started to be exported.
2000
When we come to the 2000s, the Hassan group of companies is becoming a group with more than 60 years of experience that can produce nonwoven surfaces used in many sectors and is a pioneer in the industrialization of the sector with its investments.
2007
Hassan Group, which has entered the hygiene and medical sector in 2007 with its 7th company Pelsan, starts production of breathable diaper films for the first time in Turkey and becomes one of the most important actors in this sector with its production capabilities and high volume.
2011
In 2011 ,HASSAN Group established Merkas to produce nonwoven products that increase performance in hygiene, medical and apparel sectors. Today HASSAN Group, with production facilities exceeding 150.000 m2, more than 1000 empolyees, continues to be the shining star not only of Turkey but also of Europe with its third generation young management.
